James Pembroke Media was founded in 2001 by James Pembroke (our CEO) and James Houston (our Managing and Creative Director). With over 20 years of newsstand and contract publishing experience between them, they realised that membership, trade and charity publications needed to harness the same passion for quality design and editorial that makes paid-for media successful. We have doubled the circulation of our newsstand title, The Oldie – so we know what it takes to get people’s attention.

Over the years, we’ve worked with a diverse range of clients to bring their membership communications to life across print and digital platforms. We make life easier for our clients, offering everything they need at great value: editorial consultancy, content creation and proofreading; design and redesign; print, production and mailing management; advertising sales and artwork; and finance and debt collection.

Our team

With a strong background in newsstand magazines and consumer websites, everyone on our team is used to dealing directly with clients and helping them to transform their organisational or corporate messages into stories that engage and inspire on a on a human level.

Design, editorial and production services are based in our Bath office, while our advertising and new business teams – as well as The Oldie staff – are a stone’s throw from Oxford Circus in London.
